Safety Awards
Safety awards are presented to wastewater treatment facilities that have high standards of excellence in safe operation. A questionnaire and an unannounced visit by members of the KWEA Safety Committee are used to evaluate the facilities.
Awards are given by design capacity:
- Category A: Less than 1.0 MGD Treatment Facility
- Category B: 1.0 MGD to 5.0 MGD Treatment Facility
- Category C: Greater than 5.0 MGD Treatment Facility
- Category D: Industrial Treatment Facility
