The Kansas Water Environment Association is in its ninth year of providing scholarships for university students wishing to pursue a career in environmental areas and financial assistance for training in environmental vocational technical areas. Five awards will be made available in 2009: Three University - $1000, $750, and $500 and two $500.00 awards for technical school students. There are no financial need requirements, only an essay and other application information on academic achievement and other activities.
At this time the application period and deadline for the 2009 scholarships has not been established due to a change in annual conference dates from April to September, 2009. When further information is known an update to this web site will be posted. This award is limited to students attending Kansas schools.
