1.1 The name of this organization shall be the Kansas Water Environment Association, hereinafter designated as the Association. The Association was originally incorporated as a Kansas "Not for Profit" corporation on August 19, 1977 as the Kansas Water Pollution Control Association for a period of 25 years. The Association was reincorporated as a perpetual Not For Profit corporation on November 20, 2002. The Association (Corporation) is organized not for profit and exclusively for charitable, religious and/or educational purposes, including, but not limited to, the purposes set out in Article 3 of the Association's Constitution and Bylaws.
2.1 The Association shall be a member of the Water Environment Federation, hereinafter designated as the Federation, and shall participate in the activities of that organization. It is the intent that the Constitution and Bylaws of this Association shall be in harmony with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Federation.
