Committee Objective and Goals
The Kansas Water Environment Association’s Continuing Education Credit Committee’s objectives are to ensure that all members receive proper continuing education credit for attending and/or participating in Association activities. The Committee will work to identify all certification requirements and maintain procedures that will ensure members receive proper credit with each licensing or accreditation agency.
Committee Activities
The Continuing Education Credit Committee shall conduct, but not be limited to, the following activities:
- Survey Association members to determine what organizations or licensing entities affect their job and/or position of employment.
- Maintain contact with all appropriate licensing agencies to determine requirements for continuing education.
- Advise the Executive Board and the membership of education activities and documentation procedures that the Association can provide that will support members’ retention of licenses and/or job classifications.
- Design and implement a documentation program for use at all Association sponsored activities where members can obtain continuing education credits.
- Prepare and present a report to the Executive Board and the membership at the Annual Meeting of the continuing education credits earned by members at Association sponsored events each year.
- The committee chair shall submit a written report to the Vice President on the committee's activities at least 30 days prior to the annual meeting. The Vice President will compile the committee reports, distribute them to the Board, and turn them over to the new vice president for use in assessing changes for the next program year.
