The Safety sub-committee coordinates safety issues with the KWEA Safety Committee and serves to inform collection system workers on issues directly concerning their jobs.

Goals and Objectives

Establish and maintain liaison with the KWEA Safety Committee
Promote training on collection system safety issues such as confined space hazards
Provide articles for Splashings dealing with collection system hazards, accidents and training opportunities
Aid the Publications sub-committee in their efforts to produce a Collection System Operations Manual by providing a section on collection system safety
Encourage and aid in creating a web page concerned with safety on the collection system web site. This page could contain information on training dates, sources of information and links to other safety related sites

Confined Space Entry Programs

The Collections Committee has decided to post confined space entry programs from around the State to be used as a reference for other communities to use to develop or update their own confined space entry programs.
