Goals and Objectives

The goal of the Collection Systems Award committee is to recognize municipalities for outstanding and significant contributions in the area of wastewater collection. These contributions include maintenance, training, safety and compliance programs that exceed the standards of the industry. The committee is responsible for:

• Solicitation of nominations for the award through the KWEA publications, the Web page, KDHE Districts and individual nominations.
• Evaluation of nomination forms and selection of award winners in the small, medium and large categories.
• Review and update nomination forms and evaluation forms annually.
• Presentation of the awards at the KWEA annual conference.
• Publication of the award winners in the KWEA Splashings.
• Reporting their activities to the Collection Systems committee
